KJIPUKTUK (Halifax) – Mi’kmaw woman, activist, and poet Rebecca Thomas presents two of her poems, “Just Another Native Poet and “Reconcile Your State of Mind,” at Halifax Council.
Clearly not all councillors absorbed her message, given their shameful vote to block even a discussion on what the Cornwallis statue in Halifax represents for the Mi’kmaw community.
