DESCRIPTION:Negotiators for The City of Halifax are demanding the employer stop paying the employer’s share of an increase to our pension plan! Our pension plan is a 50/50 cost shared plan and it WILL stay that way! Also\, HRM is offering a very minimal wage increase and worse than that they are tying this wage increase to any increase to pension costs. \nThey have refused to return to the table and negotiate with us until we agree to accept this major attack on our retirement savings. \nWe will never accept a concession to our pension!\nWe demand they remove their pension concession and return to the negotiating table. \nWe invite our friends in the labour movement and community allies to come rally with us and help us defend our retirement savings and to send a clear message to our employer! \nHANDS OFF OUR PENSION!\nGET BACK TO THE TABLE!
