SUMMARY:Halifax Pride AGM 2016
DESCRIPTION:The Halifax Pride Annual General Meeting will be on Wednesday\, October 5thfrom 6:30-8:30pm at the Halifax Harbourfront Marriott. The resolutions put forward by Queer Arabs of Halifax and NSRAP will be voted on that evening and we need your support! \nWe encourage our members to read more about pinkwashing on our website. It provides important background information\, the details of Queer Arabs of Halifax and NSRAP’s resolutions\, and more. \nPlease attend Halifax Pride’s AGM! We encourage folks to arrive at 6pm to ensure enough time to register as members in Halifax Pride. Membership forms will be available that evening. Membership fees have been waived by the Halifax Pride Society for 2016-2017. Membership in Halifax Pride is required to vote on these important issues at the AGM. \nPlease let us know if you are able to attend. If you require transportation to the meeting\, please reach out as we have community members that are able to provide drives. \nIf you are not able to attend but support our call to end pinkwashing at Halifax Pride please help us spread the word about the AGM. We need LGBTQIA+ community members and our allies to stand in solidarity with Queer Arabs of Halifax on these important issues.
