DESCRIPTION:Our 7th Annual Mawio’mi at Dalhousie University will be held on October 6th\, 2016. The theme of this year’s event is “Education holds the key to reconciliation” – Justice Murray Sinclair\, Truth and Reconciliation Commission.\nAttendees will be treated to a traditional feast and refreshments prior to the Grand Entry. This year’s Mawio’mi will be preceded by a ceremony marking the permanent installation of the Mi’kmaq flag on Dalhousie’s Studley Campus. \nDalhousie University sits on traditional territory of the Mi’kmaq. We are all Treaty People.
