DESCRIPTION:Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/701607683868527/ \n\n\n\nFounded by two local African Nova Scotian women\, Taking BLK is a grassroots vendors market born in the North End of Halifax featuring 30+ Black/African Nova Scotian upcoming\, new and emerging businesses. The variety of business and goods extend from art\, clothing\, jewellery\, skin care\, food\, baked goods and more. \n\n\n\nTaking BLK thrives on promoting\, supporting\, and giving opportunity to the Black/African Nova Scotian businesses in our communities while ensuring we all have equal access to exposure and opportunity.___ \n\n\n\nThe Halifax Brewery Market is located on unceded Mi’kmaq territory. This territory is covered by the Peace and Friendship Treaties which Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik people first signed with the British Crown in 1725. The treaties did not deal with surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations. \n\n\n\n*Accessibility Notes* \n\n\n\nEnjoy FREE Parking for this event on Feb. 27th until 10pm in the Salter Lot at 1521 Lower Water Street\, courtesy of Develop Nova Scotia. \n\n\n\nThere is a wheelchair accessible and gender-neutral bathroom in the Lower Courtyard \n\n\n\nPlease let us know your accessibility needs and we will do our best to accommodate!
