7th Annual Mawio’mi at Dalhousie University

Our 7th Annual Mawio’mi at Dalhousie University will be held on October 6th, 2016. The theme of this year’s event is “Education holds the key to reconciliation” – Justice Murray Sinclair, Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
Attendees will be treated to a traditional feast and refreshments prior to the Grand Entry. This year’s Mawio’mi will be preceded by a ceremony marking the permanent installation of the Mi’kmaq flag on Dalhousie’s Studley Campus.

Dalhousie University sits on traditional territory of the Mi’kmaq. We are all Treaty People.
