On June 2, we launched a biweekly Decolonizing Book Club, guided by Mi’kmaw educator Chris George. As Chris explains, “Fundamentally, decolonizing means building relationships and raising awareness. We need settler support, because the laws and structures that harm Indigenous peoples are put in place by a settler government. This is an opportunity to build those relationships and raise awareness.”

Chris George is a Ph.D student in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of New Brunswick. His graduate research focuses on Indigenous cultural and political resurgence.

The book club sessions are free and hosted online. Register here for the Zoom link and to receive book club updates.

**Upcoming meeting was rescheduled** Thursday, June 17, at 7:30 pm
