Message to McKenna: We Stand with North Saskatchewan

There is a 99 percent chance 2016 will be the hottest year on record.
This would be the third record-setting year in a row.
The Liberal government talks a good game about stopping climate change. But Justin Trudeau is still talking about building pipelines to transport oil, despite thousands of oil spills per year, infringement on Indigenous rights, and Fort McMurray going up in flames.
In the wake of the Husky Oil Spill, two things are clear:
1) We must gather in solidarity with those affected
2) We need to keep fossil fuels in the ground.
Environment Minister Catherine McKenna is coming to Halifax to join Halifax MP Andy Fillmore for a $125-per-ticket Liberal Party fundraiser at Seven Bays. Join us outside the event where we will let them know that talk’s not enough to stop climate change – we need action now, despite what profitable oil companies want.
