Nova Scotia All Party Debate on the environment, biodiversity and climate

August 4, 2021 @ 6:30 pm 8:30 pm

KJIPUKTUK (Halifax) – On Wednesday, Aug. 4 at 6:30 p.m. the Ecology Action Centre, Sierra Club Atlantic and the Council of Canadians will be hosting a live all-party provincial election debate to hear parties’ positions on critical issues related to the climate and biodiversity crises. 

Sheldon MacLeod, journalist and host with Saltwire.com will be moderating the debate with representatives from Nova Scotia’s Green, Liberal, NDP and PC parties. 

Participating Candidates: 

  • Jessica Alexander – Green Party of Nova Scotia, Interim Leader and Candidate for Chester-St. Margaret’s 
  • Pam Cooley – Nova Scotia Liberal Party, Candidate for Dartmouth North 
  • Scott Ellis – Nova Scotia PC Party, Candidate for Halifax Needham 
  • Tyler Colbourne – Nova Scotia NDP, Candidate for Dartmouth East 

This is a hybrid online/in-person event, seats will be available for a limited number of in-person attendees and it will also be live-streamed on YouTube.
