Join us for the screening of the documentary followed by Q&A and discussion. Pathways to Justice is the name of a 3-year project conducted by Be the Peace Institute and the Nova Scotia Association of Black Social Workers to understand both how female-identified people subjected to gender-based violence find justice, and also how systemic dynamics tend to thwart that pursuit.
In honour of International Women’s Day and this years theme being “Choice to Challenge”, this documentary speaks volumes to the systemic changes needed to achieve better outcomes and more dignified and less traumatizing legal process for survivors.
This event is co-sponsored by Be the Peace Institute, Elizabeth Fry Society of Mainland Nova Scotia and Survivors for Change & Empowerment
