Public meeting to save Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lakes

As you may have heard, a new report proposes allowing a huge sprawling suburb to be built on the promised but not-yet-delivered Blue Mountain Birch Cove park.
We need your help to keep this ecologically significant wilderness area safe! Please come to a public meeting this Wednesday, and, if you haven’t already, please write a brief letter to Halifax council at clerks@halifax.ca before July 4 to state your support for the Park as promised in the 2006 Regional Plan and your opposition to any development inside the Birch Cove Lakes area.
