Walk Around the Common – Wed., June 23, 4pm – 6pm
Ki’jupuk/Halifax — Come and celebrate the 258th anniversary of the gift of the Halifax Common ‘to and for the use of the inhabitants of the town of Halifax as Commons, forever.”
Join Friends of Halifax Common for a Walk around the Common. This follows a German tradition of a GRENZGANG –when people walk around a property to check the borders and to protect it against intruders.
Where: Victoria Park (Spring Garden Road and South Park Street)
When: 4pm, Wednesday, June 23.
Route: south along South Park, South, Robie, Cunard, North Park, Ahern, Bell and back to Victoria Park.
Pack yourself a picnic: 6pm, bring your food and friends back at Victoria Park for your evening meal. Remember to practise safe social distancing and wear masks.
