PSA: The amazing Dartmouth North Public Library is trying to host FREE KIDS HAIRCUTS for Back-to-School so kids in the neighbourhood can look good and feel good heading back to class, regardless of their income. The funding they were expecting has not materialized and now we need to raise $1,000 by Friday or else it will be cancelled.
Several organizations and community members in Dartmouth North are putting out a call for help to provide new winter coats, hats, and mitts to children and adults in need.
Board members of the Public Good Society of Dartmouth raise the alarm about the growing affordable housing crisis in the city.
“It feels to us like the severity of the crisis in housing is bigger than many realize, and it is growing. While all three levels of government are moving in the right direction, we urge them to do more, and faster.”
