News brief: Gulf of St. Lawrence free of oil and gas exploration projects, for now

It wasn’t widely reported in Nova Scotia, but for once the Gulf of St. Lawrence is entirely free of oil and gas exploration projects. That’s a good thing. We spoke with environmentalists Sylvain Archambault and Gretchen Fitzgerald to find out more.

Sierra Club Canada Foundation and Save Our Seas and Shores (SOSS) are celebrating the protection of the Gulf of St. Lawrence as oil company Corridor Resources announced yesterday it is suspending work on its Old Harry lease in the middle of the Gulf.
