Media release: CUPW Nova Local off the job in rotating strike

As of 8:00 pm Atlantic Time, the Nova Local of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers will take their next turn participating in rotating strikes by walking off the job.

Postal workers that work in Halifax/Dartmouth/Bedford/Sackville and from Lake Charlotte to Hubbards will be on the picket line, although the first picket lines will go up at the Halifax processing plant at 6175 Almon Street.

These strikes continue due to lack of movement by Canada Post on the major issues; health and safety, overburdening of and injuries to postal workers and equality. After one year of bargaining, little process has been made.
