KJIPUKTUK (Halifax) – This weekend’s video features Rupesh, Praise, and Marwa, three youth who came to Nova Scotia as refugees and share their experiences on camera.
The video was made for the Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS), by the very talented people at Clothesline Media, here in Halifax.
ISANS work with newcomers to help them build a future in Canada. Volunteers and professional staff provide a wide range of services to immigrants, from refugee resettlement to professional programs, from family counselling to English in the Workplace.
You can read more about Rupesh, Praise and Marwa on the ISANS website.
It’s a wonderful video, and you should check it out.
Support ISANS here.
If you can, please support the Nova Scotia Advocate so that it can continue to cover issues such as poverty, racism, exclusion, workers’ rights and the environment in Nova Scotia. A paywall is not an option, since it would exclude many readers who don’t have any disposable income at all. We rely entirely on one-time donations and a tiny but mighty group of dedicated monthly sustainers.
