I can’t believe how much you’ve grown: The Nova Scotia Advocate turns three

KJIPUKTUK (Halifax) – The Nova Scotia Advocate turns three today.

Being two was fun. Those terrible twos yielded way more readers, way more stories, way more paid stories, and way more writers than ever before.

I like to think we make a tiny difference for the better in what is by and large a pretty dull provincial media landscape.

If you agree, you might consider signing up for a one time or monthly donation. I’d really appreciate it. All the money people donate goes to our writers, except for a tiny portion that pays for the technology.

There are many issues and events we can’t cover because we’re so small. Money would remedy that. Every little bit helps. And by the way, a big thank you to all the donors who have stuck with us throughout the years!

But you don’t have to donate to read the Advocate. I hate paywalls and the Nova Scotia Advocate will never have one. Too many poor people would be excluded.

So here we come, three years old, and ready to take on the Chronicle Herald.

I can’t wait. Happy birthday to us!

With a special thanks to our generous donors who make publication of the Nova Scotia Advocate possible.
