Raymond Sheppard: As an African Nova Scotian elder I was pleased to see the CBC taking steps to embrace African Canadians and “diversity” in all its splendor after so many years. I hope “true and real diversity” becomes part of a new service delivery package. I also hope my excitement is not short-lived.
Raymond Sheppard: Since our August Black Human Rights Matter rally I have been contacted by 32 African Nova Scotians who all give the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission a failing grade.

Letter: Many media reports over the years have indicated that there are a number of homeless individuals, some living in shelters across Canada, who once served in the Canadian Armed Forces and are now in need of housing, mental health services, jobs, retraining and other supports.
Raymond Sheppard: African people did not develop racism and did not benefit from it, therefore the creators and beneficiaries of racism are the ones who must disassemble it.
