PSA: URGENT ACTION – Fight single father’s unfair eviction!

David, his two children, his mother, and brother are all facing eviction at the end of October as their landlord James Mielnik and property manager Gillian Ansell have chosen not to renew their fixed-term lease.

Their reason? Tenant is calling HRM Bi Law to complain about issues rather than telling us about the issues.” David called the city and residential tenancies after Ansell refused to do anything about unsafe conditions in his unit, now they’re forcing his family out! And because they are on a fixed-term lease, they can choose to evict them for any reason.

This is unacceptable! With no affordable housing in the area, David and his family will be forced out of their homes at the onset of winter if their landlord doesn’t sign them on to a new lease. All this family wants is to pay their rent and live in peace!

CLICK HERE TO SIGN AND TAKE ACTION TO DEMAND ANSELL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT STOP THIS EVICTION AND KEEP DAVID’S FAMILY IN THEIR HOMES!

We are demanding Ansell Property Management sign David on to a year-to-year lease at the same rent, fix the problems identified in his building by the city, and stop evicting families in the middle of a global pandemic!

We are having a rally outside Ansell’s office on October 6th to demand they sign David onto a year-to-year lease. Join us to fight to keep this family in their homes!

WHAT: Rally to Stop Unfair Eviction

WHEN: October 6th, 1pm

WHERE: 156 Ochterloney St, Ansell Property Management Office

If you will be attending, send us an email to let us know!
