Press release: ACORN is holding a rally on Saturday, November 7th at 2pm on the Grand Parade outside of City Hall to demand the Province enact Rent Control.
News release: We are in complete agreement with the demand now being put forward by groups across the province for a moratorium on all even-aged harvests on crown and other public land.
Our specific demand is for an immediate moratorium on all proposed and current logging on Crown lands from Fourth Lake south to the Napier River in Digby County.

On Wednesday. October 28th, ACORN will be holding actions in nine cities across the country calling out the Federal Government’s affordable internet program. ACORN will be highlighting that low participation rates in the much publicized Connecting Families Program means very few low-income families actually are benefiting from the program. Further, ACORN will be showing that during a global pandemic its campaign for that and $10 Internet for low-income families is increasingly needed.
