On Monday, November 25, Paul Jenkinson, who recently ended a 30-day hunger strike will, along with the Grace Jollymore Arts Centre, host a public discussion about how the climate crisis will affect food security and what we must do about it, followed by a Q&A about the climate crisis hunger strike with fellow hunger strikers and XR coordinators.

Every year, this event brings warmongers and war criminals, and their handmaidens, to plan further aggression against the peoples of the world. This is unacceptable. Twelve groups and organizations throughout Canada including No One Is Illegal – Halifax/K’jipuktuk (NOII-Hfx) have issued an open letter in solidarity with an undocumented family in Waterloo, Ontario facing deportation to Guatemala. Ahead of tomorrow’s expected post-election cabinet shuffle, they call on the Trudeau government to let the family stay in Canada.

The only shelter in the HRM specializing in support for women and their children escaping violence is closed. Although the poor state of the shelter was well known, there was no plan for an immediate temporary shelter.
